posted by Jon | 16:06 | say something | The double standards this country holds make me sick. Yesterday, a federal judge threw out a lawsuit against McDonald’s that claimed the fast-food company was responsible for the obesity problem many American kids have. The judge tossed the lawsuit on the basis that “plaintiffs failed to show that customers were unaware that eating too much McDonald's food would be unhealthy.” Um, forgive me for being slow, but how come this hasn’t stopped people from suing companies that manufacture, market, and sell tobacco products? Surgeon General’s Warnings have been on tobacco products for almost 40 years now, so how can you claim people have no idea what smoking does to them?

posted by Jon | 07:55 | say something | Wednesday, January 22, 2003 My roommate and I had an assignment due in a 9 o'clock class this morning. Started the assignment at around 8:40, finished it around 8:57, and ran across campus to class JUST in time to hear our teacher call my name for roll. This, for whatever reason, reminds me of a quote I read in a recent Credenda Agenda that goes something like "the sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up." posted by Jon | 11:04 | say something | posted by Jon | 09:59 | say something | Some old pics from my trip to Moscow last January. posted by Jon | 09:42 | say something | posted by Jon | 08:59 | say something | Bangkok is having a problem with its elephants. posted by Jon | 08:55 | say something |

posted by Jon | 15:43 | say something | Nothing to do? Buy me stuff. I got the idea from Jenn, who has actually had some success with it, being a girl and all. I'm not as cute, though, so we'll see how it goes ;) posted by Jon | 13:59 | say something | It feels great outside today. Weather.com says it's 59 degrees, but it feels warmer than that. I have very little homework, and my only class is at 5:30 tonight, so maybe I'll go do something before then. Like get a new hard drive, or go to the beach. Tomorrow will be good too. I've got class all day, but tomorrow night we're gonna go see Kansas and Styx at the Pensacola Civic Center. And Avril Lavigne just came on MTV. Things just don't get any better :) posted by Jon | 06:57 | say something | Monday, January 20, 2003 If every girl would just follow these guidelines, we'd be much better off. posted by Jon | 18:57 | say something |

One of my roommates and I started something last summer that just won't die. What started out as a prank involving just 4 people ended up as a total mess, and with every new development somebody else becomes involved. Maybe when things cool off a little I'll post the whole story. posted by Jon | 13:42 | say something |

You can get a quarter-pound double-stack w/everything for $.99 ($1 less than the single quarter-pounder), add a bag of tortilla chips (no charge....they normally come with the taco salad, but they'll give 'em to you free) and if you drink water, your total comes to about $1.07. posted by Jon | 19:23 | say something | A few songs worth getting:

posted by Jon | 08:27 | say something | Thursday, January 16, 2003 Twothirtyeight is playing Pensacola next month on the 14th. I am so stoked...their last show here was incredible. For those underprivileged few who have never heard of twothirtyeight, they're a Christian emo band originally from the Fort Walton Beach area — now signed with some label in Seattle — who just rock. If you get a chance to check their stuff out, don't pass it up. posted by Jon | 14:29 | say something | But they left soon
